At one point I clicked the video and it started, but that was one try out of many. Embedded video will not play on computer by mdl0100 8:58AM PST. I've tried the latest suggestion at the craigstechblog link and this will no longer work either. Unless I'm mistaken, that doesn't really apply in this scenario though since the YouTube video was already successfully embedded into the PowerPoint.

And the PowerPoint Viewer 2003 installer was only a 1.9MB download, compared to the latest PowerPoint Viewer 2010 which is a 61MB download and then won't play the videos!! The problem is most likely caused by MS Office update changing your default PowerPoint settings.
